One Room at a Time or the Whole House?

This might, at first glance, seem like “duh”, but we actually get asked this questions frequently. The honest answer is, it’s different for everyone. I’m a very type “A”, perfectionist, so the idea of starting a project and not finishing it that same day is causing me to break out in hives even as I type this.

For the majority of our clients, they ask us to help organize because they’ve been meaning to do it themselves, and just haven’t and the thought of even starting has them breaking out in hives. So here we are at a cross roads of “who is right” and “who is wrong”. Again, the answer is no one. Both things can be right OR wrong, depending on the person.

How to decide what is right for YOU is first deciding how much time you want to commit and how much money you want to spend. Truthfully! If you only have 3 hours to dedicate and you don’t want to leave it entirely to professionals, then you should start by cleaning out the messiest drawer, cabinet or space that is really driving you crazy. Get that one space in order, and tackle the next space as time allows. If you have a reasonable budget and you aren’t particular in how things are organized, and you’d prefer it all be handled at once, let us help! We send a team of 2-3 organizers who are NOT stressed out by your space(s), who do this daily, so I promise nothing is “awful” to us, AND because we do this daily, we have found ways that work for us, regarding time, methods, etc.

We truly take the pressure off your plate, and you come home to an organized space/home AND you’ve probably helped others by donating a TON of items you no longer want or need in the process! We even send tax deductible donation receipts so you can see where your things go and who they are helping!

Lastly, if you’re still not sure how to start, call us for a free consultation. Our founder, Kristy, does all of these personally and will walk and talk through exactly what you’d like done, and how you’d like to start. We discuss details, and as a straight shooter, Kristy will not beat around the bush. If there is a lot to do she will encourage you on next steps in a kind, efficient manner.

To wrap up, there is no wrong way to start. Just start where you are, with what you’ve got, and we will take it from there!
