Moments

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.  Every second, of everyday, is a moment. Most of the time, they pass so quickly, we don’t even realize we’ve missed anything. It isn’t until much later, when a comment is made, or a memory brought up, that we remember the particular moment that came, and quickly went into the back of our minds – many times, never to be thought of again. Here are a few examples of “moments” in my life that I chose to capture with a camera (like, an actual camera that takes film – I know, from the dark ages). Some are places I have been, and which hold special meaning for me; a couple are moments in sports I experienced YEARS ago (I live for baseball and football!), one is of the love of my life (*Miss Maisy passed away earlier this year*), and one was taken as I was walking down a busy street in Nashville, after grabbing coffee. I looked up, with tears in my eyes, (after having an emotional “moment”) and suddenly, began laughing until I cried for an entirely different reason.

On this, the eve of my next journey around the sun, I find myself contemplating moments over the course of my life that are imbedded in my soul for eternity and I’m realizing most all of them include those I love most in this world. The older I get, the more I’m passionate about speaking on things that matter to me, spending time with those who speak life into me, and counting every moment as joy, even in the trials, because I know it’s making me stronger.

Enjoy my little moments.
